Patrons’ Circle

Our Patrons’ Circle is a special membership program that invites individuals to contribute financially to support the BGA. Our patrons receive exclusive benefits, such as early-bird access to events, special events, and recognition, in exchange for their donations. This scheme fosters a sense of community and long-term support, while providing crucial funding for our ongoing projects and initiatives.

As a Patrons’ Circle member, you are not simply gaining access to our wide-ranging events programme and additional Patrons’ benefits; you are also demonstrating your support for the charitable objectives of the BGA. As the civil-society hub for British-German issues in the UK, the BGA advances mutual understanding between the two countries. In particular, we promote German-language teaching in British schools; and we foster stronger links between British and German towns and regions.

Membership of the Patrons’ Circle is valid for 12 months from the date of joining and renews automatically unless cancelled.

Cost of Patrons’ Circle membership £1,000 per year.* (£200 benefits plus £800 minimum suggested donation) Benefits All benefits of standard BGA membership, including our monthly newsletter and discounts on some events open to non-members. Priority booking ahead of ordinary members for BGA in-person events. At least one event per year just for Patrons’ Circle members and other key BGA supporters. *Please note for Gift Aid purposes, we are required to indicate the commercial value of the benefits we may offer to Patrons’ Circle members (£200). Any voluntary donation above the agreed values of benefits will be eligible for Gift Aid; it is possible to purchase a Patrons’ Circle membership without making a donation.
