On 14 June, the German government released the country’s first-ever National Security Strategy (NSS). While the government had agreed to produce such a document in its December 2021 coalition agreement, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 added greater urgency.
On 6 September at 12.30pm BST we are discussing the implications of this new strategy with Dr Ulrike Franke, a senior policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, and Dr Henning Hoff, executive editor of International Politics Quarterly (IPQ) and editor-at-large of International Politics (IP).
