Simon Winder is one of the most popular and respected British authors on Germany. His three books on Germany, “Germania”, “Danubia” and “Lotharingia,” are all best sellers. He combines immense erudition and enthusiasm for Germany with a lightness of touch and an irresistible sense of humour that have won him an enormous fan club. In his day job as Publishing Director at Penguin, Mr Winder is responsible for publishing many of the leading British authors on German history and politics.
