On Wednesday 26 April, the BGA will be hosting an online conversation with author Deborah Cadbury about her new book, The School That Escaped the Nazis. Featuring the moving first-hand testimony from surviving pupils, and drawn from letters, diaries and present-day interviews, the book recounts the remarkable true story of the German-Jewish teacher who exiled her school to England in the wake of Hitler’s rise to power in 1933 and her subsequent heroics in educating countless children who arrived via the Kindertransport. Further details will be published closer to the time.
