Silent Catastrophes – translations of the works of W.G. Sebald
On Tuesday, 15 July 2025 at 7pm, fans of German writer W.G. Sebald are invited to St George’s German Lutheran Church for a special evening with Dr Jo Catling, Sebald’s most recent English translator. A lecturer at the University of East Anglia – where Sebald taught until his untimely death in 2001 – Dr Catling will discuss her new translation of his lectures in conversation with Rick Jones, Chair of the St George’s Local Committee.
